Strengthen your curriculum with information literacy instruction from WVU Libraries, integrated to fit your course and student needs.
Incorporate information literacy instruction
The Libraries provides expert information literacy instruction, instructional materials, and consultations. You can:
- Work with a librarian to design instructional materials or assignments to help student success with research projects.
- Schedule a librarian-led instruction session designed specifically for your research assignments.
- Discover information literacy digital learning objects that can be incorporated into your online class.
- Request a session with the West Virginia & Regional History Center’s Special Collections and Archives team to engage students with original historical documents, rare books, and archival materials that support course learning objectives.
Not sure where to start?
- Take advantage of the Libraries’ Research Guides, which are designed to help your students conduct discipline-specific research.
- Consult with a librarian about designing instruction material or assignments that incorporate information literacy and foster research skills.
