Student Service Partnerships

Partner with WVU Libraries to enhance student success through customized sessions, classroom visits, wellness engagement events, and workshops that build research skills and academic achievement.

Collaborate with Libraries

Student success and engagement efforts at WVU Libraries focus on creating welcoming, inclusive spaces and programs that reduce barriers to learning and help students thrive both academically and personally. Our team works across campus to coordinate initiatives that promote retention, persistence, and a strong sense of belonging.

Whether you're designing support for first-year students, planning wellness programming, or looking to deepen co-curricular learning, our librarians are here to collaborate.

Together, we can:

  • Develop customized, high-impact engagement initiatives. We work closely with student success units across campus to co-create programs that promote academic achievement, well-being, and belonging. Reach out to WVU Libraries Student Success and Engagement Librarian Amy Melnyk to discuss:
    • Customized library services sessions for specific student populations (e.g., first-gen, international)
    • Wellness and engagement events
    • Referral partnerships
  • Use the Libraries as a flexible space for student engagement. Reserve welcoming, student-centered environments for your own student programming. Rooms on the downtown campus such as the Student Lounge, the Art in the Library room, as well as large event spaces like the Milano Reading Room and group study rooms on all three campuses support connection, creativity, collaboration, and reflection—ideal for wellness activities, peer-led gatherings, or informal learning experiences.
  • Invite us to your events to support student success. Include Libraries in your student-facing events—orientation programs, tabling fairs, themed awareness weeks, and more. We help connect students with academic resources, personal development tools, and co-curricular supports that build confidence, promote well-being, and strengthen persistence.
