Africana

The Africana Collection reflects most of the West Virginia University's disciplines including: agriculture, anthropology and sociology, art, economics, folklore, history, international relations, language, law, literature, medicine and health, music, politics, and religion. The collection has materials pertaining to Africa and peoples of African descent in all the Americas. The Africana Collection was founded and developed by Robert F. Munn, Dean of Libraries from 1957 to 1986, and enhanced by the donated personal library of Grace Edwards Waters, a distinguished Morgantown educator.
