Thanks to end-of-year funds, WVU Libraries recently added:
- A subscription to Europa World Yearbook, which is comparable to the recently sunsetted CIA World Factbook. Europa World, along with Political Handbook of the World, provide current and accurate country information including economic, political, and geographic background information and statistical data.
- The SHAFR Guide Online: An Annotated Bibliography of U.S Foreign Relations since 1600. The thirty chapters cover all eras in U.S. history from colonial days through the Barack Obama presidency as well as all geographical areas of the world, plus four thematic chapters: 1) economic issues, 2) non-governmental actors, 3) domestic issues, the Congress, and public opinion, and 4) race, gender, and culture.
- The Clinical Ophthalmic eBooks Collection from the American Academy of Ophthalmology, which has been updated to the 2025-2026 set. The thirteen volumes cover ophthalmic topics from fundamentals and principles to neuro-opthalmology and more.
- A selection of IGI Global ebooks with WVU-authored chapters, published between 2019 and 2025. Locate these through WorldCat Discovery by title or author.
- An expanded selection of award-winning children’s books, including winners of the Pura Belpre Award, the William C. Morris Debut Young Adult Award, the Schneider Family Book Award, and the Coretta Scott King – John Stanhope Award. These will be located on the 2nd floor of Evansdale Library.
WVU faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to use the Libraries’ Suggest-a-Purchase form to submit requests for additions to the collection. For collection inquiries, please contact the Collections Strategist.
